Lisa's back from her tramping trip and she sounds happy :-) She said George said we took care of him better than they did. he he he. I think we did a great job looking after George and the house! George is such a sweetheart, I hope he doesn't forget me...
My assignments are due soon but I haven't completed them yet. Arghhhhhhhhhhhh

I have never felt so alone in my life like I do right now, right this moment, and it's not even because of the fact I'm so far from home.
When people were telling me how hard it is going to be, I chose not to listen. I chose to block out what ever is unpleasant to my ears and I chose to believe that it is going to be okay.
I thought, by going away, it would actually fix things that were broken long before. I thought, by going away, it would make things a little better. I thought...
I do not know how long I can stay in this state of denial. I do not want to give up and let go of something I have grown so attached to.
Who am I kidding? It is clear that what used to be there is no longer there. I am only hurting myself by believing that everything is fine.
------------------------------------
I should not let this affect me.

I know I should be doing my assignments right now, but I'm too tired to even think about it right now.
I just came back from a potluck dinner for all the TESOL students in VUW, it was fun! The food was nice, I like the nasi lemak. I even played twister twice but lost both times because my jeans almost flashed my bums to everyone so before that happened, I basically just gave up. A few staff came to join the potluck dinner :-) It was all good.
On the way back from the potluck dinner, we took crazy photos. (I've uploaded them on friendster and facebook) I laughed so hard tonight!
Oh, last night I slept at Lisa's house with Jo and Zaty to keep George company. He is probably the most adorable cat I have ever met! He is soooo manja and he loves to sit on people's lap and be patted. Last night, he even slept next to me! It was so cute to find a cat still sleeping next to you the next morning. He did get on and out of bed several times that night because I could feel him walking on top of me last night :-). I miss George! :-( Oh oh, he eats and talks a lot too! hehe
Oh, before I forget, here are six random facts about me (I was tagged by KB):
1. I am very particular about TIME
I love to be early and ready. I hate it when people are late, or make me late.
2. I eat very very fast.
Even if I am the last one to eat, I still finish first most of the time. (I know it's not good, but oh well)
3. I love cats but I can never really keep them as a pet.
This is probably because I am bad with commitments, and because my mum cannot stand it when the cat poops around the house. hehe. I have a stuffed animal which is a cat though.
4. I am left handed.
I am the only one who is left handed in my family. I don't mind at all and being left handed is not hard at all. I can use my right hand when needed, for example, when I am ironing.
5. Cooking has become one of my favourite things to do
This is probably because halal food is quite hard to find because I am still new to this place, and also because I still need my rice everyday.
6. I am beginning to agree that long distance relationship is hard!
This one, I am not going to elaborate further. Hehe
That's all for now.
I am too lazy to tag other people...
Will write more later
I cannot wait to go see George tomorrow!
*just in case you missed who George is, it's a CAT. :-) I do not want people to get confused.

I just got back from Lisa's (our lecturer) house. She invited us over for tea (which really means dinner over here) and it was just lovely! Her husband made chicken curry and she made fish curry...it was so nice :) Her house is up on the hill and the view is just breathtaking :) Oh oh, and I'm staying over at her house during easter break to feed her cat :) hehe. It's going to be so much fun!!!

I need...
to borrow
a
vacuum cleaner
from the office...
haih.
----------------------------
There will be an international cooking competition next week and I'm thinking of entering. Jo and I will probably enter together as a team. I think this is going to be interesting :) We're going to discuss about this matter tomorrow.
----------------------------
I also signed up for cultural dance yesterday. I do realize that I cannot dance...but since it sounds fun, why not? They're going to teach me how to dance anyway...
----------------------------
Jo and I were thinking of applying the over 18 id card a few days ago, but we found out that it costs $20... I don't need it anyway. hehe. I just thought it would be fun to have it as a collection.
----------------------------
My literature test last week was...okay I guess? I don't know. I think I did fine. Maybe.

I got my new jeans! Happy!
:) I am so in love with it right now.
I have a test tomorrow.
Wish me luck :)
Oh yeah, you know about the $50 dollars that Woosh is supposed to deduct from my account today? Well, I've checked my Woosh account and it says that my account has already been direct debited and that my balance is $0. However, when I checked my bank account, no money was deducted... (?) hmmm. Is it possible that they had deducted money from the wrong account? (sorry if this is a stupid question because this is really my first time paying bills by direct debit)

Dear Friend,
Here are my reasons to why I don't use it:
-It's hard enough to keep up with all the emails that I get every day to the two emails that I have (Uni and Hotmail)
-I was never a fan of forums but I tried to log in as much as I can and participate so that I don't feel guilty towards you.
-Some people are just not into them, okay? Somehow you are forcing us to do something we don't like and don't need. YES I know you are trying to make things easier, but what you feel is easy may not be so practical for others. As for me, I communicate better with emails, blogs or friendster, not forums.
-We didn't ask you to do it in the first place so it is unfair for you to accuse us for not appreciating what you've done. We do appreciate your effort it's just that may be some of us are just too busy with other things and another forum is not really helping.
-What you just said in your blog is totally unfair. I felt really offended. and turning off the comments section? again, unfair.
-I don't know why you are mad anyway? Nobody asked you to do the forum (?) and when people do not respond to it, you shouldn't get mad, you know?
-Please just don't see things from your perspective, think about what others feel too. Writing all that anger in your blog, for something you did (that we didn't even ask) and getting mad because we didn't use it that often (or even at all) is not fair.
And I am sorry for the hours you've wasted to do the forum. Thank you for the effort, I do appreciate it...
btw, you don't need to update things by copying&pasting things that we've already got in our other two emails and myVic. I don't want you to feel as if your effort is not appreciated. It's not like that, it's just that I don't see the point of reading what I've already known, twice?
Take care

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I went to NW metro with Shufaiha today after our tutorial. The first intention was just to get juice but I end up buying a pair of jeans! (we went window shopping after NW) :-( not good not good. But then again, I really need a new pair of jeans and the one I bought was on sale...the original price was $155, but I got it for $50... I'm going to the store tomorrow to get it because I asked them to alter the length...
The jeans is the first clothing item that I bought ever since I got here. I've been very very careful not to buy things that I do not need. I bought the jeans because this morning I realised that I've been wearing the same jeans everyday, and the other two pairs are either too big or too old.... (Oh, I went down one size btw, hooray!) So, I guess the jeans is not a waste of money. Can't wait to get have it with me tomorrow! :) Definitely going to wear it on Thursday.

Why am I even disappointed?
-----------------------------
Anyway,
I have a test on Thursday. English Literature. Weeee. :) Wish me luck.
My view of literature has changed, I no longer resent the subject. I think I'm liking it very much? Thanks to the lecturers and my tutor for making it as stress free as possible. I have never felt so confident during literature class before, so I am very happy. Oh, just because I like it, doesn't mean I will get good grades... but I do hope I pass the subject... or else I will be very very sad and hate the subject again. hehehe.
---------------------------
The Noho last night was so much fun. I got to know a lot of people and learn+understand about them as well. The food was great, especially the Shepard Pie that Carolyn made and the Cake that Lisa bake and not to forget the Fried Rice and Cucur Jagung that we all made together. :) I didn't sleep that night though, because it was too cold.
---------------------------
I gotta go now. I should be studying. Heheh.
Will write more soon :)

I made Nasi Ayam today...it was my first time making it. The taste? I'd say not bad. hehe. There were a lot of ingredients that I forgot to put in because I couldn't remember the recipe. The rice was too yellow because I didn't know how much turmeric I should put in. Anyway, it still tasted like nasi ayam in the end...and I'm quite proud of myself for taking the risk of wasting good chicken. :)
Oh, I actually intended to make the sauce and the chicken separately, but I was lazy so I decided to make them both at once.

I also made some yummy chicken last week...
and bought some pillows and a blanket at Bed Bath and Beyond...

That's all for now.
:)

Today was quite...interesting :) We went to a picnic held by WMSO at the Rose Garden somewhere up the hill. We had to go on the cable car to get there since walking would be such a pain. So, that was my first experience going on a cable car in Wellington :) I thought the cable car over here is like the ones I've been on in Malaysia where they have gondolas, (?) but it turns out the cable car is just like a train so there was nothing scary about it (thank God). The picnic started one hour late (Malaysians...typical...) and we got to know other Malaysians in Wellington. The picnic was cut short because it started to rain :( (Nasib baik sempat makan) After that, some of us went to Erni and Sarah's house at Everton Hall because we've never been there before. Their place is HUGE and COZY and not that expensive... Maybe I should think of flatting out next year...hmm. or maybe I could just apply for the RA job and get free accommodation :)Hehe. After that, Sarah, Erni, Arifah and Iz showed us the way back to our place... I was quite
JAKUN because I've never been to that side of Wellington before...
The rest of the day was spent in my room.
